The difference is in the details.
Every choice contributes to the character of a ski.
From the selection of materials to the design of the geometries, from the thicknesses to the assembly, every detail is studied, verified, and perfected so that each Carpani expresses the same idea of precision, balance, and continuity in handling. It is this set of choices, more than any single component, that makes every Carpani unique and immediately recognizable on the snow.

Core
The core is much more than its name. This is where a ski begins to have character.
Many of the materials used in ski construction are available to the entire industry today. What really makes a ski different is the quality of the wood core and the ability to integrate it into a design where every element contributes to a precise balance. Wood species, densities, fiber orientation, profiles, and thicknesses are selected and combined according to the behavior the ski is intended to express on the snow. Each choice influences the next, creating a structure in which elasticity, stability, progression, and dynamic response work in perfect harmony. It is this experience, gained over years of design, testing, and development, that transforms a series of materials into a ski capable of conveying unique sensations.

Know-how
Experience becomes design. A ski takes shape long before it enters production.
A ski's performance depends not only on the materials it is made of, but above all on how they are chosen, calibrated, and integrated within the structure. This is where more than twenty years of experience gained by Filippo Carpani and his team in the development of high-performance skis find expression. Geometries, thicknesses, structural composition, and material distribution are designed according to the behavior each model must express on the snow. Because every technical choice represents a choice of character: it is from this balance that precision, stability, progression, and control are born.

It starts here
Design, development, and production all take place in the same location.
Every phase of construction is managed directly within the Carpani factory. From cutting the materials to preparing the cores, all the way to assembly and final preparation, each step is overseen by the same team that designs, develops, and builds our skis. This continuity allows us to constantly observe, verify, and refine every detail, maintaining direct control over the entire production process and ensuring the constructive consistency that characterizes every Carpani ski. For us, Made in Italy is not just the place where we produce. It is the choice to design, develop, and build every ski in the same facility, where experience, research, and passion work together every day.
Skis built to leave their mark
Every ski tells the story of what we believe in.
Carpani was born from the desire to build skis capable of transforming every design choice into an authentic experience on the snow. For over twenty years, Filippo Carpani and his team have designed, developed, and built every model in-house, directly overseeing every stage of the production process: from the selection of cores and materials to the definition of geometries, right up to the final assembly. Every detail stems from a simple principle: nothing is left to chance. It is this direct control, combined with experience gained in the field and continuous research, that brings to life precise, responsive, and instantly recognizable skis, designed for those who seek control, fluidity, and authentic sensations in every turn.

1996
Everything starts with the plates.
Every story has a starting point. Ours begins in the heart of the Apennines, where Filippo Carpani and Antonio Guidi, both ski instructors, began designing and building high-tech plates. Those were the years when the experience gained on the snow turned into design. Every solution is born from listening to the needs of competitive skiing and the desire to improve the equipment's performance through research, experimentation, and development. The innovation of those first plates was soon recognized by the Italian and international market and led to the attainment of the first industrial patents. It is the beginning of a journey that, even today, continues to guide the way we design every Carpani.

2001
The skis are born.
The experience gained in developing plates paves the way for a new challenge: designing and building skis capable of transforming the technical knowledge acquired over the years into authentic sensations on the snow. From the very beginning, the choice is clear: to develop every model in-house and directly oversee every stage of construction, from design to final assembly, never compromising on quality. It is a decision that defines Carpani's identity and continues to guide every new project today: to control every detail in order to build skis recognizable not only for their performance, but for the character they express on the snow.

2006
The first international medals.
Every project seeks confirmation. Ours arrived at the Turin 2006 Winter Paralympic Games. Silvia Parente and her guide Lorenzo Migliari won three gold medals and one bronze on Carpani skis, proving that the work begun just a few years earlier had already reached the highest levels of international competition. It was the first major result of a journey that, in subsequent years, would lead Carpani to win titles in Italy and abroad. But it is also confirmation that a small Italian company, through technical expertise, research, and original design ideas, can successfully compete with the most established names in the sector.

2012
Growth and the FIS world
The growing appreciation for materials leads the company to dedicate itself entirely to the design and production of skis and plates, taking the form of a production model based on the direct control of every construction phase. The company progressively invests in facilities, technologies, and machinery with a precise objective: to design and manufacture every ski internally, maintaining full control over quality and the continuous evolution of the product. At the same time, its commitment to the FIS Master world also grows, where competition becomes a development laboratory. Materials, geometries, and construction solutions are tested in races and, once perfected, transferred to the skis intended for production. Because, at Carpani, competition is not a final destination: it is the starting point for continuing to improve every ski.

2019
A new home for new ideas
The company's growth and the continuous evolution of our projects make a new space necessary, designed to bring research, development, and production together within the same facility. The new headquarters was created to provide the tools and space required to design, test, and build increasingly advanced skis, materials, and technologies in-house. It is not simply a larger factory. It is an investment in our ability to continue innovating while maintaining the values that have always guided Carpani: research, quality, and direct control over every stage of construction.

2021
The entry into the World Cup
Every journey built with patience sooner or later reaches the point of comparison with the highest level. In 2021, Carpani skis made their debut on the women's World Cup circuit, bringing a ski entirely designed and built in Italy back to the highest levels of international alpine skiing after about forty years. It is not a finishing line, but a new starting point. The World Cup becomes an even more demanding laboratory, where every race, every test, and every detail contribute to accelerating the research and development of technologies that will also find application in skis intended for all enthusiasts. Because, at Carpani, competition represents the place where the future begins to take shape.

2026
Twenty-five years of experience. A new way of turning it into value.
In 2026, CARPANI celebrates twenty-five years since the start of its ski production. A milestone that does not represent an end point, but the beginning of a new phase. After a quarter of a century of experience, the company is introducing the principles of Lean Manufacturing, interpreting them according to its own construction philosophy. The goal is not to increase production, but to increase value: to eliminate what does not generate it, to make the production flow more natural, and to allow people to dedicate more time to what really matters. The new factory layout stems from this vision. Every workstation, every material, and every movement is rethought as part of a single, continuous flow, where organization and craftsmanship work together to create ever more value in every ski built. Because the method does not replace craftsmanship: it enhances it.

2027
A location that tells the story of evolution
The Carpani story is built on experience, research, and continuous evolution. Over time, the company has forged a recognizable identity based on product quality, attention to detail, and a strong bond with its local roots. This journey also includes the Carpani headquarters renovation project, conceived to renew the spaces and make them more consistent with the brand’s image and future direction. It is not merely an architectural intervention, but a new place capable of representing the company, its working method, and its growth. The new headquarters thus becomes a meeting point between history and innovation, maintaining Carpani's roots while translating them into a contemporary, functional, and recognizable environment.
